Dr MD Aziz Mazumdar
BAPIO has been a cornerstone in my professional and personal growth. The structured training and emphasis on leadership have played a vital role in shaping my career. Through the academy’s guidance, I have been able to excel in various capacities, from handling emergencies with consultant-level confidence to earning recognition such as the Trust Registrar post at NHS East Suffolk and North Essex and the role of BMA Local Representative at my current trust. Moreover, BAPIO’s encouragement has fueled my passion for academic contributions, leading to my recent publication as the first author in the Cureus Journal (PubMed-indexed) which I had the privilege to present at the BAPIO International Conference 2024 was another proud milestone that showcased the confidence and skills I have gained through the academy.
Dr Karthika Satish Kumar
Being the pilot batch of the Indo-UK program, before coming to UK, even though I had few online discussions with Dr Parag, I did not have a clear idea on what BAPIO is all about.
Only after reaching here, I could learn more about their network and the initiatives BAPIO is doing for the benefit of doctors of Indian origin.
It is only because of BAPIO’s effective guidance, I could come and start working in UK without any more delay in India. I sincerely thank the entire team of BAPIO both in India and the UK for all the support and guidance for their 2+3 FRCEM program.
Dr Shivangi Lodha
I was passionate about paediatrics and, after completing my residency, sought opportunities to expand my horizons. Discovering BTA convinced me the NHS was the right path. My fiancé, also a paediatrician, and I found a job opportunity through BTA associate Dr. Pallavi. With guidance from Dr. Parag, Dr. Vineet, and BTA fellows, we both secured ST4 equivalent jobs at the same hospital. BTA’s support continued even after securing the positions, helping with GMC registration and accommodation. We are deeply grateful for this opportunity.

I began my journey with BAPIO in 2020 from India, enrolling in the MRCP plus MBA 2+2 programme. The training at Park Hospital, Delhi, was comprehensive, covering medicine and its subspecialties, with regular classes and exams. After two years, I passed my OET, and BAPIO facilitated interviews, leading to my selection at East Kent Hospital Foundation Trust. BAPIO sponsored my GMC registration, and I joined Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital in acute medicine. This programme has been a tremendous opportunity for my career in the UK.
