What is the BTA Foundation Programme?

The BTA Foundation Programme (BTA FP) is a hybrid, one-year, competency-based training program designed to develop the skills and knowledge required for medical graduates to secure a training or employment position. It serves as a crucial part of graduate-level medical education.
The program aims to mentor graduates in delivering safe and effective healthcare.

Programme Tracks:

  • Preliminary Level (12 months): For candidates without Medical Council registration or Part 1 PLAB/UKMLA.
  • Intermediate Level (6 months): For candidates with Medical Council registration or Part 1 PLAB/UKMLA.
