The BAPIO Training Academy (BTA) proudly congratulates Professor Jyoti Bindal, our esteemed BTA MRCOG faculty, on being awarded the prestigious ‘Charak Award’ by the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
This award recognises Dr. Bindal’s outstanding contributions to medical education, healthcare leadership, and her lifelong commitment to advancing women’s health.
Professor Bindal currently serves as the Vice Chancellor at Sri Aurobindo University, Indore, and has previously held several key leadership positions, including Dean of M.G.M. Medical College in Indore and Director at Gwalior Mansik Arogyashala. Her work has had a lasting impact on improving healthcare delivery, medical education, and research initiatives across India.
Reflecting on this honour, Professor Bindal shared:
“I feel blessed to receive the highest award in IMA, the Charak Award for the year 2025. This honour is even more historical and emotional for me because my father, Prof. Dr. V.K. Agarwal, was also honoured with the same Charak Award earlier. To be able to follow in his footsteps and uphold his legacy is truly humbling”
At BTA, Professor Bindal plays a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of obstetricians and gynaecologists, contributing to our mission of empowering medical professionals through world-class training and guidance.
Speaking on this recognition, BTA’s leadership expressed their pride:
“We are truly honoured to have Professor Jyoti Bindal as part of the BTA faculty. Her recognition with the Charak Award is a testament to her excellence, leadership, and dedication to improving healthcare and medical education.”
This recognition highlights Professor Bindal’s exceptional contributions to medicine and education, and we are proud to have her expertise supporting our MRCOG trainees.
